Q. I have a business idea. Can you help me develop it?

While we don’t offer one-on-one business advice, an effective way for you to get some help would be via our forums. It is a very active, friendly community with thousands of members and posts. In the meantime, here’s a link to a series of articles devoted to business planning advice.

Q. Can you recommend a decent web designer/accountant/business coach/serviced office…

Start by searching our business directory where you'll find thousands of businesses of all sorts. Alternatively, head to our forums and add a post in the need a resource section. 

Q. I’m having log-in problems. What can I do?

Please try emptying your cache to clear cookies and give it one more go. This page explains the process. If that doesn't work (and you haven't thrown anything at your computer) get in touch here and we'll get one of our tech peeps to fix you up just as quickly as possible. 

Q. I appear to have been banned in the forum. What did I do? 

Chances are you've not been following our community guidelines. One of the reasons our forums are so popular is because we moderate them very closely. Please read the guidelines carefully and if you still feel we've been harsh, get in touch here. We have been known to be over-zealous.

Q. I'd like to delete my membership. How do I do this?

Please get in touch via our contact form and we'll sort it out for you. Please clarify whether you want to be unsubscribed from our newsletter, removed from our directory, taken off the forum, or all of the above!

Q. Are you interested in affiliate contra deals, joint ventures or giveaways for your members?

As a rule we don’t form these sorts of relationships. However, if you are interested in getting in front of our audience you could review our advertising options, which are summarised here.

Q: I've got two busineses. Can I list both?

We’re not set up to accommodate multiple businesses per member. However, because email addresses are the unique member identifier, you are welcome to sign up both businesses as members and to list them separately in the directory. You'll need to sign up two separate email addresses for the process to go through smoothly.

While this is fine for the directory listings, if you are planning to get involved in the forums you may want to just choose one account and name to post under to avoid confusion.

Q. I’d like to talk to you on the phone, even meet up. How do I do that?

Always send us a note through our contact form first. We’ll respond quick-smart and are happy to talk and meet whenever it’s necessary.

Q. I’m a subscriber to your newsletter but haven't been receiving them. Why?

That’s no good! The first step is to check your Junk folder. Next, try adding news[at]flyingsolo.com.au to your Safe Sender list (or White List). This will ensure that future messages from us and/or the newsletter will get through to you.

Failing this, it may be worth unsubscribing and resubscribing with a different email address. You'll find these options at the bottom right of every Flying Solo newsletter.

Q. How can I unsubscribe from for your newsletter or amend my email address?

At the footer of each newsletter are ‘subscribe’ and ‘unsubscribe’ links. Please use these.

Q. I want to attend a Flying Solo LIVE! event. When and where’s the next one?

The best way to keep up with all things Flying Solo is to subscribe to our newsletter. You can also visit our event website at www.flyingsololive.com.au

Q. I’m from a PR agency. Do you run product reviews or company/product profiles?

We don’t. Our editorial policy states there needs to be a clear distinction between advertising and other content. As reviews don't fit into either category, we prefer to avoid them.

Q. How do I submit my articles to Flying Solo?

Q. I run small business events, do you guys speak at such gatherings?

Q. Does Viagra show up on a blood test?

Someone actually asked us this question once! Sorry, we don’t know the answer.
