I guess it's a two sided arguement. We all want lower prices, but higher wages. It seems like we have a higher consumption (or more disposable income) than say 30 years ago.

Importing goods and Importing services are similar in my opinion. There are certain jobs which you can't outsource, just like there are products that you can't export either. We've been outsourcing "jobs" since we started moving factories to other countries.
