Thanks for all comments so far, I am still working through the options and it will take awhile partly because this is a spare time project and in the rest of my spare time I have a business to run plus a family to keep an eye or two on! Keep the comments coming though for the edification of us all and I will post the results of my journey in this project as things develop.

Anthony, could you please add a bit more about what FCK Editor is and how it is used? Is it meant to be a site page editor as such or really more just text with images to HTML? Could you please clarify what you mean by "to incorporate into your existing pages"? I will have a closer look at FCK when the house is quiet at night, but wondered if you could add to your comments in the mean time. Many thanks.
