Hi Dave. I'm completing my Accounting study via NSW TAFE and I can't speak highly enough of them. I am going through OTEN (which is their correspondence division) and all the information is on-line, they respond quickly to questions and it is not very expensive considering you can complete as many subjects as you like within the year - as long as you pass them as you go. You then only need to go into your local TAFE for your test/exams and can study at a time convenient to you. If you can keep yourself motivated it is a great option.
