Default Is it just my computer or something wrong?

Hi there..
Can't quite figure out whether it's just me or something has happened with formatting on FS?

When I log in, go through the forums, profile or any other link everything has shifted downwards - bit hard to explain... the main page/information has shifted to below the ads that run at the right hand side menu (i.e. member spotlight, bizz buzz deal, facebook box etc etc)... so I have to scroll down quite aways for each thing I want to access/do on the 'pain' part of the web page.

Hope that makes sense? Looked through my settings and doesn't appear to be mind end.

Cheers, Jacqui

Hi Jacqui,

I have this same problem when I am on my son's small laptop but it does not happen on my laptop or desktop.

I always thought it was because of the small screen and it couldn't all fit next to the ad's

hmmm... interesting to only have it on one computer and not your other? (I am using a lovely new wide screen so don't think that's my issue)..

I do get a "done but with errors" on my browser - so, for those tech savvy persons that might be along and read this:

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; SLCC2; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; MAAR; Tablet PC 2.0; .NET4.0C)

The above is a foreign language to me so thanks in advance to those that can help solve the riddle

Hi Jacqui,
Most odd and must be very frustrating for you!
Would you mind letting me know what Browser and version you're using so we can run some tests.
We did have this issue some time back in the old IE6 but not recently.
Hopefully we'll solve the riddle fast!
Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter - thanks for your reply.
I am using IE 8 (64 Bit version, if that makes a difference?)
Thanks again

I remember someone finding View/Actual Size works to fix the issue or whatever it says on IE. (I'm using Safari on Mac.)

ok not being biased or so but IE is S**t. I would recommend you try using Firefox or Google Chrome and see if the problem persists.

If u really wanna use IE, The other option is try deleting all the cookies and temp files saved by IE. You can use CCleaner (google it if you dont have it) to clean it up.

Hope it helps.

Cheers
Jenish

Hi Jenish, I totally agree and will be switching soon... I just purchased a new computer and simply hadn't got around to downloading Firefox, but will get on to it shortly!!

Karen - thanks - I will try your suggestion

Hi Jacqui,
Sorry for my slow response. Testing this I've found that with IE if the browser view is zoomed in (even just at 95%) the middle column drops down. Doesn't seem to happen in other browsers. As Karen suggested it should be fine at 100%, we've found clearing cookies can also help for some bugs such as this.
Let me know how you go. If you have any ongoing problems, or if others are experiencing the same, send me a note or reply here and we can investigate further. Cross-browser joy!!
Cheers
Peter
