Default Calling all 'Grandpreneurs' - did you start your biz in later life?

Hi All

We've just been approached by a journo representing a major national publisher who is keen to interview individuals who started their first ever business in later life, that is in their late 60s/70s+

If you fit the bill (or know of anyone who does), please pop a note below or send a note through our contact form.

In your note, please tell us where you're located and your contact details.

Interviews are likely to take place over the next 5 days after which time this thread will be removed.

Many thanks and if you respond and are interviewed, I hope the exposure does much for your business.

For the purposes of the story, the journalist is only interested in those who succumbed to their entrepreneurial streak in later life. The size and nature of the business are unimportant, the focus is on the rise of the Grandpreneur!

Many thanks

Robert

Burgo, I am happy for you to be the grand old man around here - it makes me feel better since there is someone else "grander" than me. I recently hit 61!

I read Roberts post earlier and my first thought was nuh, Ive been fiddling around with businesses for yonks so I could not say I had recently started my first business.

But then again, I am doing business it was just not possible to do 10, 20 years ago and in a sort of way that seems to me to qualify as a first. It's certainly all new to me and rather harder to change spots (totally new technology) comparatively late in life.

Ha, thanks Peppie and Burgo. I fear neither of you qualify in this instance!

We'll keep looking,

Robert
