Isn't jack3d illegal to sell in Australia now ? ..just a heads up.

On another note. I just put an item in my cart and clicked checkout... it wont go to the checkout.. I can't order.. this is frustrating.

I suggest implementing a wordpress or prestashop e-commerce them.

Regards.

Thanks for the feedback. USPlabs jack3d is for sale in every supplements store I have ever seen in Australia. Sometimes if a particular product doesn't meet the Australian regulations the manufacturer will make an Australian version without that particular ingredient etc.

A few people have had the same problem with the cart/checkout as you and I can't find what the problem is. It's really frustrating because lots of other people have been able to buy and the site is actually doing very well. Can you please tell me what browser you were using when you had the problem?

Looks good to me, I'd just add that i agree, your product range should be grouped. Lists goes for too long. good luck.

Yes the next things I need to do is add home page search functions for "Brand/Manufacturer" and "Product". I also need to fix up the presentation of the product displays making sure all the pics/images of products are the same size/similar resolution etc. Still heaps to do but there is something so fun about starting a business investing $0 and making it profitable within just a few months.

Just like my site (new one professional one on the way) it lacks coherence.

On the first page alone there at least 6 different fonts/styles. And then every page after that hsa a different font again.

The picture of the Aus Post van looks like a cheap photo of a van you saw in a carpark once.

Even without everyone else's comments, these are enough to make me doubt the calibre of the vendor.

Just looks a bit "cheap but not that cheerful"

For a few hundred you can get a professionally prepared site. You'll make that money back in no time.

Hi Gordon
At first glance the site looks great, there are a few things I would recommend;

The tile tag says; Homepage The supplements Lab, I would remove 'Homepage' and add a bit more info (keyword rich info)

The first large image - it's unclear what it is or why it's there (consider a smaller banner ad, with clear text as to what it is, i.e. 'Buy Muscle Pharm products here')

The headline under it - Train everyday.... - same thing, what is the relevance?

The second large image - also unclear what it is or why it's there (same as first image)

The video - firstly, it's been removed due to a copyright issue - secondly, if it has nothing to do with your business it shouldn't be there. Maybe have a page for really cool videos, if you must, but it would be best if they were your videos.

There is a big blank white band down the right - beside the images and video - consider putting an opt-in box there with an incentive to sign up - i.e. free report about the best supplements (example), or (even better) take out the workout info and turn it into a free report (it's great info). Maybe replace that info with some YouTube videos about working out.

'Above the fold' is THE most valuable real estate on your website - use it wisely. Consider taking the text from the bottom (Our goal is to find the very best high performance.....) and putting in at the top of the page.

The About us page really says nothing about who you really are.

The contact us page, should have your actual address and phone number

I would have the 1800 # up in the top banner.

These things all help to add credibility and trust to your site, which is essential in the buying process.

Cheers
Trish Fehon

Thanks for the feedback all. I have now added in a brand and category search function on the home page and have 15 alternating product displays on the home page. The site is performing really well and has become a profitable business started from nothing in just a few months but keep the suggestions coming because as well all know continuous improvement is the biggest part of business. Also, feedback from people who actually buy sports supplements like protein powder, vitamin tablets etc would be particularly helpful.

Your site might be doing well, but some simple changes and it could be doing so much better.

The only thing I am going to mention is the checkout process. I clicked 'Add to cart' Now what? A super fast image of something pops up, but there is NO indication that anything has been added.

Next, and this absolutely vital: How do I check out? There should be a huge button that says 'checkout' somewhere, anywhere.

This is a huge problem. Before any of the other problems, aesthetics, unrelated video, etc, this need to be sorted.

Good luck.

Matt

Like all the other posters here, your business is selling. And with that, new customers need to trust your site's credibility. Not having search, poor navigation and random stock photos don't really help.

Also, (I don't know what your arrangements are) but using other companies logo's (like AusPost) might be a no-no - as it could be seen you are representing them or they are sponsoring you.

Consider an e-commerce / user interface designer - they'll know specifically what to do, and should have the experience to do it. It may cost a bit now, but you will definitely make that cost back up.

All the best!
Sean
