Updated website with new logo

Thanks for clicking on this post and reading what I have to say.
Recently I have updated my website after changing my logo.
I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think please.

I own Munchkin Nappy Cakes. I design and make Nappy & Towel cakes for all ages. They are creative, unforgettable gift ideas for all occasions, packed full of useful items.

I would love to hear any comments about what you think and if you have any ideas on how to make it better and also how to climb the every changing google ladder.

Good first impression - which answered the question as to what they are.

If doting grannies are part of your target market then they will have no trouble navigating around the site and you've made payment and delivery very easy.

the site design for me is not particularly great. however, its clean and simple and the products look professional and unique so would buy from the site...next time the need arises! good luck

Hi, well done. I did find the bright yellow actually hurt my eyes when I went on the page and I really struggled to read the header bar with the tabs on it as I could hardly see the blue header with the white writing.

I have to say - to be really honest - which is what you are after - I had to leave the page because it was actually hurting my eyes as I was looking at it in a bright room as well.

Maybe look for less "in your face" colours to give it a more classy look as you have amazing product which are unique, classy and practical and you dont want a cheap type web page for them. The logo is really good and maybe you could pick a colour from in there for the sides that will blend a bit better?

Also - as someone said if your target market included grandma's they will really struggle with reading the white text tabs on the blue so maybe go for a black?

Just some thoughts and they are suppose to be helpful and hope they come across that way. I know of all people how much work goes into a web site design so you have done really well.

Congrats on the website. I don't know if it is just me, but the 'k' on your logo looks slightly jagged, almost like it is pixelated?

Maybe it is just my eyes

Thankyou so much to everyone that has commented so far. I am quite relieved at your comments. The last time I put my website up for comment, it was very different to these ones. I agree with some of the changes that you have suggested. The bright yellow has been playing on my mind too.

Hi Michelle,

I would have enlarged and/or re-arranged the logo and business name at the top of the page to utilise that white space up there, or found something else to go up there. See the top of this website as an example, space in the header used well there.

My hat off to you for asking. Its a pretty nerve wrecking post to put up and you are just praying that your pride and joy is not torn to shreds...lol

Glad the yellow has been playing on your mind as well. Go for a light pastel green which will cover all corners and take that glare off the page. Let us know if you make any changes so we can see the before and after :-)

I really like the clean and fresh look of your website, and it's very easy to navigate. I don't mind the yellow, however I agree that the white on blue menu bar is difficult to look at and read (old eyes here!). Overall, I love the simplicity of your website, and really clever product.
