Default Commercial Printing Infographic

Hey all,

We've just finished off an infographic for our site. The idea behind the graphic was to educate folks from small and large business on some of the things they should keep in mind when purchasing print, be it business cards or booklets.

Anyhoo, take a look, let me know if it tickles your fancy: http://australianqualityprinting.com...rchasing-guide

The site itself is also reasonably new, so feedback on that is always welcome.

Cheers!

Hi Jared. It provides a good overview of all-things-Print.

Only gripe is I think it's mislabelling it calling it a Print Purchasing Guide, as I'd expect folks would be wanting to see more value related discussion - your infographic is more of a tech. document?

Very helpful Jared! Thanks. Easy to understand for people not in the industry.

Just wish your prices were competitive

HI Jared,

I really like it - I think it is a good source of basic info for people not familiar with the different print options. Just out of curiosity - does the fact that it is a graphic reduce the SEO impact of the information, because there are many topics in it that would have good keyword whatever the term is!

I would love something similar on my site actually - whilst we are not a printer, we are heavily involved in printing, and a guide like this would be an awesome source of info

Wow, you've put a lot of work into this.

Just one little criticism: GSM is NOT directly propertional to thickness. I have a 115gsm gloss flyer on my desk which is far thinner than my 100gsm letterheads.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the feedback!

Bluepenguin: I did a fair bit of research prior to putting that in (I didn't believe it to be 100% true), but I wonder if it's actually applicable to stocks of the same type? IE, comparing a 115gsm gloss flyer to a 200gsm gloss flyer, it may hold true? Will have to research that further.

AgentMail: I've seen the good work you're doing - nice niche you have for yourself! I did evaluate whether we should make it into a keyword loaded page, however that lowers the likelihood that it may be shared on social networks etc, which was one of my main aims for this graphic. Further down the track we may convert it into an html page if that may give us some more google traction.

Daydreamer: From all the competitors I've evaluated, I'm sure we're at the discount end of the scale. Care to point out somewhere that's cheaper that isn't Vistaprint?

OneArmedMan: Fair enough point, although when purchasing print the options can get pretty dizzying, hence we created this guide to explain some of those options

bluepenguin likes this.
