Hi All,

I thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. My name is Andrew, and I run a small business called Phone Bill Savers - www.phonebillsavers.com.au

Anyway, I will have a look around the forum, and hopefully get some advice!

Default New website - Phone Bill Savers

Hi All,

I have just finished our new website, and was interested to get any feedback.

www.phonebillsavers.com.au

It has been a long project, and a lot of hard work, but we have got there!

Any suggestions or tips gratefully accepted.

Great business idea - I am guessing you may get some people asking you quite a few questions here!

Please feel free to ask questions if you don't come across what you are looking for (there is a search box towards the top of the page).

Also, don't forget to include your contact details (or anything else) in your forum signature (click on Quick Links in the horizontal grey line towards the top of the page and select Edit Signature).

Hi Andrew,

Website looks good except for the main image on your homepage. It's not very appealing and looks very odd.

The only other thing I'd say (which you've probably heard anyway) is be extremely careful about your content. The ACCC is keeping a close eye on comparison and brokerage sites (like EnergyWatch) ...

Thanks all - appreciate the welcome and the positive comments.

It certainly is an exciting time. It is an industry I have been in for a long time, and this has been something I have been working on, and proving the model. We are reducing phone bills across all telco by an average of 30% - even when under contract and staying with the same provider.

I look forward to actively participating on the forum, and helping each other whenever we can!

Thanks for your comments and for moving this thread to the correct section. I apologise for breaking the rules, I was just a bit excited about networking with small business owners!

Victor, completely agree, and even more so in Telco! Obviously you are experienced in this kind of thing, and appreciate your advice.

At the end of the day, if we don't save our clients 11% regardless of providers or solutions, we refund all money - so there really is no risk!

4 aspects
1. If the site is finished then it won't do any good. Every page has the same content. I want to see calculators and other things to help me see what the savings can be
2. I would not have the Perth map on the contact page - think Australia-wide
3. This translates over to the live help. At 4pm Qld time you are offline....does not induce trust in me.
4. I won't pay anything to get a cheaper deal. Sure take 2%, but there are plenty of options out there where I can get cheaper calls and not have to pay anything.

Other than that, the site has an appealing look to it.
