Re: I'd appreciate feedback and suggestions on my website, please.
Hey,
Website looks great! I even signed up, but seems to be pretty low on listings at the moment, but I'm sure that's something that will change with time.
I would prefer it if all of the categories and searching for work was more well-defined. For example, list them all in categories and sub-categories and perhaps with the current number of jobs in brackets, so people know where to look for all the listings.
Also, where are your revenue streams coming from for the website? I'm not sure I would want to pay if I was someone looking for a service to purchase, as at the end of the day, listings are what would ensure the website became worthwhile going to.
I think you could charge businesses around $100/year for the right to bid on certain projects. If it's a safe way for the business to guarantee that they will get work from it, then they'd be willing to pay to see the jobs. If I was a business paying, I'd see it a great advantage if you ensured that all the super-undercutting spammers weren't bidding (such as on freelance design websites)... but at the same time, ensuring there is a reasonable amount of legitimate competition to ensure the customer gets a competitive bid.
