Default Websites for tradies.

Hi All,

A few of you may have noticed a change in my signature stating this.. but for those who dont know yet we are just about to launch a new division of our business.. and we are pretty excited about it.

A few months back, we looked at our client base and realised that a huge percentage of them were tradies.. not only that, of all the tradies we had on board pretty much all of them got some amazing results with a lot of the marketing we were doing for them..

So we thought since we are pretty good at marketing and servicing tradies.. why not target them directly as part of our business.. plus tradies are all great blokes, and we enjoy having clients we like to deal with.

So Trade Websites was born - http://www.tradewebsites.com.au

What do you guys think of the idea, the website, the business... etc..?

This is a very soft launch, and from Monday next week we have a radio campaign advertising this business.. so i would love some constructive feedback so we can tweak everything before it goes out to millions of listeners!

Fire away..

Great idea...wish I had it first...

Site looks good. Strong colours and presence...but then I scroll down and get lost in the white.

I'd be interested to hear how your radio campaign goes too. Great way to hit your target market.

Don't know a tradie that doesn't work with the radio on.

All the best

regards

Hi Brendan, looking very good! And I think it's a brilliant idea to offer such a niche as trade websites. Haven't seen anyone already doing that and although that means they don't exist, it must still be something very uncommon, I'd imagine.

Fantastic idea doing the radio campaign! I'd love to hear the ad, do you have a digital version of it that you can post?

I come from a long line of tradies, surrounded by them! Most work very hard and do a great job but ask them about 'internet stuff' and they glaze over. You're really going to offer a useful service!

Check out http://www.ntx.com.au/, the National Tradesman's Expo (Sydney next month). Set up a booth and watch them clamour!!

Hey there Brendan,
That video is fantastic! I especially love the disclaimers ;-)

Well done to you and everyone else involved. Hope the new venture and the upcoming campaign are an enormous success!

Nice work!

You have gone to a lot of work there!

Out of interest, how much was the radio advertising?

Kind regards,

Thanks for all the feedback.. it was a busy week.. and we are hoping for many busier weeks to come!

The radio campaign has started, so i'll let you all know how it goes, for those of you that don't listen to SEN.. we have uploaded are ad here - http://www.tradewebsites.com.au/sen-radio

DVDcoach, the cost to advertise on radio does vary depending on how many slots you buy, what time of year you are running it, what time of day you want it to play etc.. Pricing can be anything from $150 for a 30sec spot upwards.

Craig & MTpocket... great idea.. we will put something up shortly!

I'll keep you all updated on how its going, if you are interested though join our facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Websit...0499656?ref=mf we update it all the time with the happenings.
