We were so proud of the event and that it has made a difference to so many soloists is amazing, really.

It is nearly enough to get me excited about next year... a bit more recovery time needed first though

For those who couldn't make it, we'll be uploading resources from the day in due course.

And to those who did come, heartfelt thanks for helping make the day such a success.

Funny story though, the day before I went to an event put on by Dept of Industry & Investment about social networking and the main speaker was Iggy Pintado. It didn't dawn on me til that night that he was presenting the same talk at F S Live. It gave me the chance to check out creative thinking though (I have enough of techno gadgets every day) and say to him after that I would have come to his session, but I've heard it all before!!!

There is and will be for a long time LOTS to absorb, as long as I can maintain the momentum to dig into everything much more deeply. And that is going to be the hardest part, to force myself to learn and benefit thereby.

I have to admit though that I can sympathise with the cement worker Terry Hawkins was referring to. She probably just wasn't his type anyway, he sounded more like the strong silent type!

In August 08 I discovered Flying Solo and wanted to immediately sign up for Flying Solo Live 08. No paying clients yet meant I put it off but wrote it down a first year goal in my business plan to attend the 09 version.

Boy was it worth the (12-month) wait.

I had a ball on Wednesday (my pitman wants to say he didn't like the 4am start to get to the 6am flight from the Gold Coast and 8pm last flight back bit though

The presenters were all so dynamic, a word I couldn't help but write over and over on the feedback forms. The information they gave was practical, relevant and inspiring - so thank you Flying Solo for putting so much work into making sure they were so perfect for us all.

The presentation by Terri Hawkins was almost worth the ticket fee alone, and a great motivational end to the day of information overload!

As a side note I want to add that though the food was scrummy, I didn't pay it a lot of attention (very unlike me) as there was so many people to talk to and my mind was buzzing. Also didn't get to the lunchtime meet up for Forum members as I met someone interesting and wanted to keep chatting. Next time...

Can't wait until next year already!

A huge THANK YOU to Robert, Sam, Peter and all the FS team/conference organisers. Flying Solo Live 2009 was even better than last year's version, which was pretty damn fantastic.

The range of speakers was so good that deciding which sessions to attend was pretty tough (looking forward to those notes so I can make sure I've got all the bases covered).

I'm still 'Flying Solo high' as Jayne put it... just have to get into all the wonderful information and plan out how to make the best use of it.

Thanks again guys - it was a very inspirational day for all FS fanatics!

Looking forward to next year already.

I was an exhibitor at FlyingSoloLIVE, it was very much a last minute decision and one I took on instinct (being quite new to Flying Solo). Happy to report it was SO worthwhile.

It was a great opportunity and fulfilled on every one of my goals ... to promote our brand, connect with potential members and to promote the franchise opportunity.

I also wanted to say a big thank you to everyone involved who presented, organised & ran the Flying Solo Live seminar last week.

When l first found out about this website, l was determined to go to the 2009 Live event, l umed and arhed about it (Pitman talking, can l afford it? is it worth it?, can l allow myself that long away from work? How much are flights going to cost me?, etc etc)

I have to say, it was over and above what l had expected. The first talk of the day, l was patting myself on the back, saying, great business decision Belinda !!! lol, and the rest of the speakers were just amazing. Probably one session l went too, that l thought, l should have gone to the other session l was tossing up.

Looking forward to next year and already told my office assistant that she is coming also.

The "feedback" l have to pass on, is that it would be great to make the sessions a bit more interactive (but that could be hard with it being only a day session and having so much to get through) but also, it would have been great to come back to our offices and watch the seminars we missed, after going to another one.

This could be uploaded onto the internet for us to all watch at our own leisure. Did l mention l run a video production company ??? Honestly though, it would be great to watch the few sessions we missed, l know there is at least 2 l would have loved to be able to watch once l got back to the office and of course, watch Terry Hawkins again, she was fantastic. All the presenters were fantastic.

Hi Sam, Robert, Peter and Flying Solo LIVE organisers

I too had an amazing day and had been waiting a year after not being able to make the first event.

Not only was it a chance to actually meet many of the people I'd 'met' online and experience the world outside my little office, but it was an excellent opportunity to challenge myself and see the big picture outside my soloist business goals.

As an exclusive opportunity I took 45 newsagents along to this event to help them improve their retail skill sets. What a great decision! Loved the day; great opportunity to meet other Flying Solo afficionados and to hear great speakers.

I was a bit nervous coming alone but everyone was so friendly I soon forgot about that.

I'm still thinking it all over, letting new ideas settle in and take shape - very inspirational.

A tiny request for next year.... never having been to the Aus Technology Park before, I didn't realise it was so big.... I kind of had the impression that when I got there from the station, I would see you! So maybe a few signs would be helpful? Or, in the welcome note, something like "when you get to the Aus Tech Park, make for building 3 (or wherever it was).
