Hi all - I really enjoyed it myself (apart from the 5 minutes before speaking as a panelist where I pooed my pants!)

My only problem was that I wanted to go to see ALL the speakers!

The thing that really took me by surprise was the audience...highly motivated, positive, excited and so friendly to boot. It seemed like such a shame it had to end...but in a way it doesn't - let's all keep involved with the forums and hopefully I'll see a few of you at the Sydney Flyingsoloist drinks on 9th Sept at James Squire at King St Wharf. I'll be there from about 6, but never mind that - our flyingsolo superstar Burgo will be there even earlier!

Thank-you to all the people who came along and contributed it was awesome.

My only regrest is I did not attend last year.

I agree we need this in Brisbane!! I have actively spoken to my local MP's and will write a letter to Andrew Fraser who is responsible for Small Business as well as his other roles, to encourage the QLD government to sponsor an event like this.

I was blown away by Flying Solo Live.

If I'm totally honest, my cynical self had it pegged as - at best - an opportunity to press flesh, throw business cards around and resist people networking at me.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

The quality of the program, the value of the information, the spirit of the community and the energy of the presenters was simply stunning. During the breaks, I simply found myself enthusing with others about the immediate usefulness of the advice instead of trying to sell my services - and that's the way it should be.

Whilst clearly Ms. Hawkins and Mr. Griffiths were obvious show-stealers, my two less obvious "wow" moments were:

1) Expecting to be bored off my crust by an accountant but in reality being swept along in a wave of interesting, positive, creativity by Heather Smith. (Absolutely INSPIRED PPT presentation, Heather)

2) Wondering why I would be interested in a little Greek lady talking about the running of a coffee shop, and then after 30 minutes realising I'd been utterly captivated. What a story teller.

So a day of expectations being dashed to pieces, then. GREAT.

Thanks to Robert, Sam and Peter and to the excellent FS support people who made the day so memorable.

I couldn't really find anywhere else to mention this, but the pdf of Joanna Maxwells presentation seems to have lost something in the translation. The outer edge by a fair margin is missing and some of the text cannot be read!
