Ok, someone HAS been fiddling.

I had problems some time ago staying logged in and it's now back to the same problem. Then I said I would generally set the preferences to stay signed in at all times and when i would first open up the forum in the morning. Suddenly I was not able to stay logged in and it would drop out from log in after maybe about an hour or so, not sure how long.

After a bit of discussion with Peter I ended up with a situation where if it logged, out as soon as I would look at a thread it would log me back in again. Must have been set up as a separate routine bit of code triggered by my "waking up" my link/activity on the forum.

Now. back to square one and having to log in manually again when I come back for another look. Not I guess a really huge problem,,, just a bit irritating. Is there a way around this so as to stay logged in at all times and for a lengthy period once the stay logged in box is ticked???

Lucky its not a business earning site, they would be broke by now with the length of time to get things fixed/changed/implemented.

Errr, seems to be now working as previously expected! Did Peter have a re fiddle, or are there bugs/gremlins in the system.

Shall keep an eye on this and report further

I no longer have a problem logging on via my Mac.

My PC has StopZilla security and seems to remove all cookies when it does a full scan. Wonder if that could be a problem.

Just a thought.

still for me too, plus that simple job of creating a search box so it can be seen is still to come......"him wait looooong time"
