Example, A business broker sells businesses. When buyers come to buy businesses from the business broker, they need accounting services, the business broker doesnt provide accoutning services, so what do they do, they make themselves look good when they refer their clients to you, the accounting company.

Same way, a real estate agent sells houses, the buyers need accounting services, the real esate agent doesnt provide accounting, they send their clients to you, their accounting partner.

So when you partner with a business broker and a real estate agent , all those who are buying businesses and real estate are coming to you, they are your partners clients.

I read your post on the Sapphire technology thread, and you mentioned about partering with a business that could recommend you. I'm a Chartered Accountant as well, but I established by business a few years back and it's only now that I'm doing some work on marketing.

Would you be able to give me some examples on partnering with a business? I have existing clients that refer me to their friends / associates, but I have really no plan in place.

Also, I notice that you're in the business of finding entrepreneurs and providing them with start up capital. I have a experience in Research & Development grants through an IT client of mine, and I believe that many new technologies come through your way. If you don't have an accountant contact in this field, I'd be glad to be that contact for you!
