What are you looking for in an Online Payment Gateway?

Hi Everyone!

We have recently launched a new Online Payment Gateway (https://www.fatzebra.com.au) for merchants to be able to take credit card payments online.

Although we have focused on creating a simple & secure solution, we would love to hear what you are looking for in a Gateway facility. Would love to hear from current merchants online, developers and people looking to start up a website themselves. After all, what good is a product that doesn’t support the end users.

Congrats on the launch. To answer your question, price (setup and ongoing), reliability, setup help and no contracts are the most important things I consider in a payment gateway provider.

A system to receive payments is something I want to be as simple as possible, something I can set up once and then forget all about. There are way too many other things to worry about! If you can deliver a seamless setup and competitive pricing, I would sign up in a flash.

We really want to work closely with our customers to ensure that we keep things as simple as possible. Simplicity seems to be the main request when it comes to Gateways.

We have also focused on creating a pricing model which competes well with our competition, and has no set up fees.

As for integration and set up, we are happy to get our hands dirty and help as much as we can. If we don't support a shopping cart, we are happy to work with you to integrate as quickly as possible and get you up and running.

Our focus is to be a simple plug-in for businesses transacting online while providing ongoing support at a reasonable price.
