Default recording payments to sub contractors

I've recently subcontracted out a parcel of work that I don't do so well, to someone who does it better than me.
He has issued me invoices, which I've paid and all is right with the world.

However, I'm wondering what account I should be recording it under in Saasu.

I'm considering the following:
CoGS: Raw Material (which i think is a stretch)
Expense: CoGS (which I don't use for anything else as I have separate CoGS lines)

sometihng else all together ?

I agree with Steve, add another COGS account for your contractor payments, so you have an account for you to measure how much you spend on contractor over time and use it to measure your profitability on it as well.

Expenses: COGS in expense section make no sense at all
