Seems that:

Any particular training school, etc?
Anyone thoughts or other suggestions?
Many thanks.

Cert iv is the Mininum requirment to be a bookkeeper. There is also a requirement to join a Bookkeeping Association Like Instute of Certified bookkeepers or Bookkeeping instute of Australia, and to have indemity insurance and 2 references from clients you have serviced for more then 2 years. or be under the direction of an accountant.
Im Currently doing the one through CENGAGE and i dont recomend it. The first activity asked me to go to a website that no longer exsists and by the time i had a responce from the tutor to go to the next one 2 days had passed. the Assignments are not worded in a way that you can understand what they want and if i had the choose i would choose another online course.
My Brother suggestered KAPLAN. But was more expensive. But as i have worked out. You get what you pay for in this world.
The ICB has a list of the providers at
http://downloads.icbglobal.org/au/Bo...ificate_IV.pdf it would be a good place to start have a look in the forums of the providers and see what sort of problems the students are having might help. If you do go to CENGAGE am happy to help with assignments as i have HD on the ones i have done so far. Just email me. The cost of cengage is $202 per month or around $2400 for the year.
Hope this helps.
