You're not a big fan of Flash, eh? I quite like it. In fact, I'm evaluating Flash for CS4 at the moment and have a Flash project in the works so it should be interesting. :-)

And stop giving away 'our' trade secrets (i.e. voodoo dolls)!

Flash is a something I haven't had an enormous amount of experience with (Pat is the Flash master around here LOL) but I keep working at it, trying to learn something new each time I use it. Helps that Pat won't let me con him into doing it for me

I love what flash CAN do - and am looking forward to getting my hands on CS4.

Like anything, you can get used to doing things one way and can be reluctant to change - and leave that comfort zone.

My comfort zone is hard coding pure html and css - but I had to use php, javascript, flash and xml on top of html and css to get my site to do what I want. So I stretched the ol' safety net there LOL

Stretching the safety net can be fun! Today, I learned about setting up C names, but we'd better stop with the programming chat before the non-webbies fall asleep, eh?

It is interesting to read about the fun that business has getting paid for work. With my work, being in transport, it is depot to depot when charging hourly rate.

There is one customer that uses my service, and part of this is the movement of his machine as well as other equipment he needs for his work. It is that way now, that I have been able to work out with him and his partners standard times for their work. The only thing that is variable is the travelling time and the different routes that can be taken. So, it is a matter of having a quick chat to the client, and asking which way he wants me to go, if it is via the city with the traffic lights or via the country route and open roads if it is across town.

The standard times have come unstuck a couple of times due to not being able to get close with the truck when loading, but, we generally do a half split on the time over which is standard when loading or unloading.
