Hi all

Wow, it is great to read all this! There is always someone who knows something (or another someone) who can help.

WLC, you have described me in a nutshell with your 're-organising' of paper piles. Not sure where that instinct comes from but it really annoys me and wish I could change it about myself!

HOWEVER, my computer files are organised within an inch of their life. Maybe this is because I'm on a MAC and have been for years The MAC interface is intuitive (besides looking great) and it makes more sense to me as a disorganised creative.

I hope you find the right organiser/designer to help you!

Nadya

Thanks for that link. Even just the chapter titles make a good to do list. WLC.

P.S. I'm now off to create my cool forum signature - wish me luck.

I thought about IKEA, but just can't get my head around all of it.

I need the design, the furniture, and the installation. Any recommendations? WLC.
Hi, although sometimes a bit of professional advice might help, I guess these two resources provide wonderful insights as to what can be achieved for a home office, perhaps showing both extremes to the equation.

By the way, that site has an ongoing section for featuring cool workspaces, so it's good to keep an eye on it.
Hope this helps,

Hi

I can defiantly help you achieve a great home office.

I have recently helped a Sydney based therapist. She now has a home office, which is set up to meet her specific needs and she loves to go to work in it! Plus we re-vamped her therapy room which has gained her lots of positive comments from her clients. Currently we are in the process of working on her small group workshop space.

All of this was done with me working remotely from my Brisbane based studio. While some may see distance as a disadvantage, it is actually a bonus for the client as my time is more effective as it doesn't include traveling.

The other major advantage is that we can show you all the items for your space set out on a floor plan before you buy, so you avoid making costly mistakes with purchases.

Another definite advantage when working on a fixed budget is that we can supply and deliver furniture from our industry only wholesale suppliers at close to wholesale prices. That means more office for less cost, without the hassle of trying to do it yourself!

If you haven't found someone to help you with our project, feel free to get in touch and we can discuss your ideas and how I can help you get the home office of your dreams - stress free!
