Boardroom / Meeting Room - Melbourne CBD this Saturday 21 Feb

I'm running a training session for my contractors this Saturday and I just lost the venue I was supposed to be holding it at ...

So I need a boardroom, meeting room or office space for around 10-12 people on Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm (approximately) ... and I need to be able to bring our own catering in (because I've already paid for it!). This catering thing is the big sticking point - it counts out a lot of venues I would have used ... I would also love a whiteboard, but that's a nice to have not a must have.

If you have (or know of) a boardroom or an office space that's not being used over the weekend, please drop me a line and let me know how much ... fairly urgent at this stage!

My parents have a meeting room in Huntingdale that fits around 10-12 people (when you get up to 12 it can be a bit squashy) and you can bring in your own catering. I know it's not the CBD, but it might be good to know for future meetings

Quite well!

Out of desperation, I took up the offer of one of my clients to hold the event at a foodcourt in the city that doesn't have any shops open over the weekend. I was a bit dubious about this - it's a foodcourt ... but it was actually really good! Lots of natural light, a door straight outside, no one around and we set up next to my clients shop - she was doing the catering - so the food was really hot AND the writers got a chance to see in action the work of one of our major clients, which was really good for them.

All of this - and the venue was FREE ...

The only thing missing was a white board - but my client is talking about going to centre management and asking if she can let people use the space on weekends for meetings so long as they use her catering (which only cost me about $40 for 10 people), in which case she would have a whiteboard and stuff downstairs and roll them up when events were on - so I'll definitely be doing that again! Great little space!
