Default Packing options

Im looking for packing options for small boxes into larger postage boxes to buyers.

The item inside is delicate, but will be well protected inside the presentation box by diecut foam.

Do you think I should use air-bag style padding between the presentation box and shipping box? Or not? I dont really want to use anything too messy.

Where can I find these sort of products?

Another option would be to get molded cartons to hold firm the presentation box and provide a barrier between the outside box and the presentation box. Even having the ability to link two or more sets together, should the customer buy two or more products.

The products are only small and the presentation boxes are not larger than 9x9in x 4in.

However, I dont know what these are called or where to start looking for quotes.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

Thankyou!

Hi Jake,

Basically, its a square box with fragile artwork inside.

It will be protected inside the presentation box (hence the question regarding diecut foam), but I wasnt sure if I would need extra protection between the layers?

Ahh, gotcha.

I'm not sure what quantity you are looking at sending - But last time I was at Officeworks they had quite a selection of packaging supplies.

I live in a country town and get a number of things shipped to me. I find that the air bags work well and are less messy than foam shapes ('peanuts' I think they are called). Officeworks does have a good range, but can be expensive for small orders. I don't know who sells the air bags, but I have found some good packaging solutions via ebay. I have not checked, but The Right Invite (I think in QLD) have some packing supplies and they offer great service. Take a look. Otherwise, try Australia Post too. Good luck.

I may have lost some of the flow of the discussion ... so disregard if I am off track!

If you are looking for protective packaging fill i.e. often found in boxes for items such as televisions etc. the company is called Sealed Air (they have an Australian setup ... they sell the small foam pieces, bubble wrap and void fillers).

You will be too small to buy directly from this company .. however, they have distributors (look for companies who sell cardboard boxes, packing tape etc).

Hope this helps.
