Re: Looking for an Accountability Buddy
Thought I'd give an update, prompted by another new thread looking for something similar.
Every Monday morning I meet with my first buddy (yes, there's more than one lol) who I had already started a friendship with, and it's been working extremely well. We follow a strict timetable covering achievement, reflection, hurdles and goals for the coming week. We don't get off topic, and start the week on a really positive note. Our goals can range from one to four, in any area of personal or business, and neither judges the other. I use these meetings for specific, individual tasks I need to achieve for that week.
Then, once a month I meet with my second buddy, someone I had only met through a facebook network group. This one is totally different. It's more a general discussion time, still limited or we'd chat all day !! This meeting is for my big picture stuff and allows me to sit back from the day-to-day details and check that my general direction is still right.
I'm finding both buddies are working for me at the moment, one male and one female. No doubt, we will move past each other at some point as all things do, but for now it's been a really positive exercise.
