Freelancers Coffee Meetup - April 2009

For a while now Perth Freelancers have been getting out of the office, studio, back room and have a coffee with like minded freelancers.

Freelancers and solo business operators of all types welcome.

Last month we had 20+ people last time. So why not come along! The table will be Sign Posted "Freelancers Coffee"

I will point out for moderators of this forum, this is a FREE event, its not a ticket selling or cross networking scheme. I get nothing back on the time to organise and promote this event, its all done out of the good will to meet with fellow freelancers.

Flying Solo folks, this man is affectionately known as "tuna" on Port 80, a nerdly nerdington... I mean, IT and web and such, forum based in Perth (but is Australia-wide).

This coffee meetup is fantastic too, and is where I first met and made friends with LinkArtist and several others. In fact, T organised the first one with Gary I think...

Anyway, I cannot endorse these networking events enough. Very low pressure, you can hang out and not even talk (if you're a wallflower) or you can bellow across your cup of coffee loudly and Americanly (if you're me), but you'll make friends and valuable contacts regardless. Heck, if it had to be tracked back, probably at least HALF of my business is from people that I've sat down and imbibed something with.

Now I have to try and make plans to be at this one!

Thanks for posting this networking group.
This is just the sort of thing we had in mind for this section as we know how valuable it can be for groups of local soloists to get together in person. We would love to hear updates if you get a chance?
