This seems like the place to introduce yourself, so here I go! I'm James, I'm 30 and I live and work in Melbourne's eastern suburbs as a freelance
SEO consultant.
I first started playing around with
SEO in 2007, first stumbling upon the whole caper with my a wordpress blog I was writing about a hobby of mine. From there, I started helping out some friends get some traffic to their business websites, and then that led to friends of friends. And now, after a bit of a detour into the world of Affiliate Marketing, doing
SEO has ended up being my main income.
I've been pretty slow to actually build up any sort of web presence or branding of my own, up until now. I've always had other people's websites to promote and that's always felt like it's been a higher priority than getting around to getting my own together. But one of the web designers I do a bit of work for has needled me enough times about how ridiculous it is to be running an internet business without having a website, so I've finally pulled my finger out and grabbed a business name and domain name and got someone to draw up a logo etc. and I figured that in the meantime while that's all still coming together it'd be a good idea to sign up to a couple of forums and so on just to be a bit less invisible.. so here I am!
