[Buy Australian Made]

I have been a member for a little while and contributed to a few forum discussions but haven’t introduced myself until now. Our total focus at Buy Australian Made ( www.buyaustralianmade.com.au ) is to make it easier for shoppers and other businesses to find the Australian made alternative when they are looking to purchase something. We are not against imports, we understand that we are all participants in the global community, we just want people to be able to easily find Aussie made things, then they can make the choice what to buy.

Buy Australian Made had been on the drawing board for quite some time but due to fulltime work in the disability sector meant that things weren’t getting done as quickly as they could have been. In May this year a decision was made to leave the disability sector and focus fulltime on Buy Australian Made. So here we are.

I have been very impressed Flying Solo the quality of the forum discussions, the articles and topics that appear are relevant to what we are all aiming to achieve and it is great to know that there is a place to go to make contact with others who share the same passion and drive to Fly Solo. I look forward to making contributions to forums and hearing from others out there on a variety of topics.

Great to hear from you and the website looks fantastic. I've also spent the past 4 1/2 years in the disability sector (and still am) but am still at the stage of working on my business on the side.

I'm struggling to decide whether to import or go for Aus made products for my business. I've still got a lot of research to do into both options.

Thanks for taking the time to write a reply, it is much appreciated. Also your comments about our website was interesting. We have deliberately made the site very simple, as it is not really about us but the businesses making Australian things who advertise with us. Some techo's who have looked at the site give different feedback to what we receive from both our visitors and also advertisers. We are in a bit of a quandry and we think we will use the specific forum on Flying Solo relating to websites to get more feedback.

Looking forward to being an active participant with Flying Solo.

I am always conscious of buying Australian made and preference always given to Australian owned companies as well.
Increasingly this is difficult to find to my frustration.
