Intimate Adult Furniture comes to Australia

Hi Fellow Soloists,

I have been reading and following the growing community of Flying Solo for some time. I only came to know about the website after searching around at a particularly scary time - the beggining of my business - Loverlays Furniture.

Loverlays was founded on a simple yet crazy idea. Everybody enjoys sex. Yes? And people spend a lot of time thinking about Sex. Sure! So how come there are no specialized pieces of Furniture that can be used for enhancing and indeed "making" it better? Well - it turns out there are, however for the un-initiated - as I was - they are awful contraptions. Stuff you have to hide when your Mum visits. Things you can't have your kids ask you "Dad what are those strappy things in your top drawer for? So I set about designing, developing and having made a range that would fit into the category of "Furniture" but with a special function.

Having never encountered or worked in the "Adult Industry" - I have had some funny experiences in the short time I have been out there.

For soloists who are doing it themselves - Power to you All. No matter what we do, every buck we make - is a credit to hard working folks who are prepared to risk it - to make it!

Great idea for your business and I'm guessing you've discovered a niche! I'm sure they'll be lots of things you'll be able to discover once you get 'initiated'. It's amazing what you can discover when you actually start searching.

I'm sure you'll do well this Valentines, great products and well it's certainly something different.

Thanks. I already have an intersting update. Our main product the Tantra Lounge is being used in a show called the Best of Gallijess..this is apparently screened on Channel 31 in Melbourne only. Gallijess is a comedian “well known” in Melbourne – although I haven’t heard of him

He tells me the Lounge will be used in just about every episode as its the main prop for the parody on the sex lives of Thelma and Smitty.

I have never seen the show but he reckons he gets 70 000 viewers? Amazing!

Anyway - since I am in Sydney---if anybody sees the show would be great to know.

Can I give you one impression I got when I saw your website?

Some of the furniture is in the upper price range - but your site doesn't show that. I'm pretty sure you will get better paying clients (Think "Ivy", think "Establishment" think "Iceberg") if you jazz up the site and your logo and make the whole thing look more elegant sexy than "Adult shop" looking.

Take it out of the usual sex toy- shop look to make it outstanding.

Thanks for feedback. The site will be improved over time, I have several ideas but need to focus on much else for now.

Thanks. The general feedback from customers has been amazing. We are now working with several overseas companies who have shown interest. It seems the TV advertising has been an effective way to introduce these products to mainstream Australia.

"Taboo" becomes "Fun" with a piece of Furniture - why not!?
