Making the Web Usable.
Hi all
I design web sites. However what I do is a little different.
I focus on designing web sites that are easy to use so they don't frustrate people.
Such that the information is easy to find on the site and you don't get lost trying to complete a transaction or frustrated by the maze of forms.
I'm sure we have all been there and encountered sites like this.
For business having a site that has been proven not to be "frustrating" for the customer translates to a happy customers. As that customer has a good experience on a web site and will refer that site on to others or come back time and time again. Which results in a greater ROI.
You would expect all web professional would be focusing on this aspect. Well some do, some don't. In most cases the only people that will tell you if your web site is failing is your potential customers.
I generally work with anything from SME to large Government agencies.
Due to the nature of my expertise I do find myself freelancing to design and marketing agencies and other web firms.
Technically my specialisations are in Information Architecture, Usability and Accessibility.
