Hi All
I wanted to gauge the interest in forming a flying solo group with people who are working in the web industry.

The group would be a support network for each other to discuss various issues that we face in the industry for example web tends and best technology. Also issues around dealing with clients and ways to winning more business.

Over time be might act as a referral process to support each other in business.

Let me know if this is something that might be of interest to people. I am based in Summer Hill, (Inner West Sydney) and can organise a venue.

Not sure if I qualify. Certainly would like to be part of a network specialising in graphic media professionals who can exchange advice, etc, but I'm not based in NSW and wouldn't be able to attend actual meet-ups. Were you just looking for NSW-based people?

I'm a bit like Bobby, I am close to Sydney but not in a great place ATM to be able to turn up for meet-ups.

Maybe we could start a Facebook Group? I am part of a couple of topic specific 'chatty' FB groups and they are great for quick chats/info swapping. We could even hold events etc!

We're on the Central Coast so physical meet ups may be a bit of a pain, but if you're keen on starting up a network of local(ish) people in our industry, I'd definitely be up for it!

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for getting back. That's brilliant. I think the Facebook idea is really good. Happy to set one up. Any suggestions on how we want to do it? i.e make it closed to public and invite members as we go or make it public? I'm not a member of any Facebook groups so don't know the best way to go about it.

As for a face to face meeting, why don't we pencil in Thursday 10th of November at 10am as the first meeting. I'll organise a venue in Summer Hill and will post it here nearer the date. If you PM me I'll get an email group together also. Hopefully it will evolve into a great business network & support group.
