Brisbane monthly soloist networking group - INTEREST?

Hi Erin,

Whoops, I didn't get your messages - I thought they were emailed to me by this system and hadn't logged into the message board - so I turned up at the Coffee Club this morning.

Three of us met up and stayed anyway, spending some time bouncing ideas around. A shame there wasn't more us, perhaps we can work out a fail safe email communication method for next time?

If it's possible to get the meet up slightly closer to Bellbowrie that would be good - Rosalie or somewhere perhaps?

I know the group has started but I would like to join a local business group.

I am based on Brisbane's northside but am happy to travel to a meeting if I have the lead time.

As Mortgage and Finance Broker I always look to have a pool of other businesses to refer to. You would be surprised at how diverse the requests can be.

I am also on the northside, in Redcliffe, and so find most meetings are a fair way and not in my part-time schedule.

But I would enjoy meeting solo northsiders if they are interested... especially since I am setting up a freelance business website, full of need-to-know information.

Other groups I belong to are Connect Working (meets Stones Corner) and Jacaranda Coffee & Chat (meets Everton park).

I am also working on Link swapping between our clients websites, and wish to hear any expressions of interest for a link swapping directory in future.

Hi John,
Do you mean that you're not receiving emails about PMs or that you're not receiving emails about additional posts on the threads you subscribe to?

If the issue is with PMs, try going to the Control Panel (in the grey bar above the forum) and choosing Edit Options.

If the issue is with threads you have subscribed to, I have checked the back-end and this seems to be turned on for you, so we are a little confused as to what is going on and would like to fix this for you if we can. The first suggestion is to add news@flyingsolo.com.au to your address book in case the emails are being treated as junk mail.

Secondly, try choosing 'Thread tools' in the grey bar at the top of the thread, and selecting 'Subscribe to this thread'. All being well you should start receiving emails when a new comment is posted here.

Please feel free to get in touch if you are still having trouble.

Hi Patrick,
Are you not receiving emails when you threads you post on have new comments added to them? We can look into changing that for you if you'd like... but I am concerned that we may overload your inbox, since you are by far and away our most prolific correspondent!

Let me know if you'd like any of your settings changed, and if so I will look into it for you.
