I would have thought the key was to find a good product, try and arrange direct delivery to avoid the need to hold stock, and have clear and concise listings.
I would not bother with eBay courses.
You only need to lean the basics and you learn as you go.
You can pick up alot of info from the free eBay forums when starting.
Good photo's and clear simple description is all that's needed.
Put photo's within the listing so you don't have to pay extra for them and they can be large too.
Best to have an extra website to try and divert potential sales there (staying within the rules of eBay).
Also best to try and get potential customers to contact you directly.
These methods boost sales a long way.
Good luck with your venture, I've always thought about getting into that industry.
At least you can do some thorough product testing for the products you sell.
It's a great and massive online market you have for these items.
