Agree with Iron Maiden. I've read your initial post a few times and I'm still unclear what your service entails, because I'm an IT dunderhead. As a copy writer, the first thing I would do is get you to provide the most elementary explanation using non-IT terminology to determine what exactly each "appliance" does, and why it's a benefit over what already exists out there.

Someone mentioned using the latest catch phrases and terminology, but even that can restrict the number of potential customers to those who understand the lingo. Go as simple as using words like "tools", "kit" "doctor", etc. These are generic terms to which the general community can relate and apply a meaning.

None of this may apply if you're just marketing to IT resellers or ubergeeks, but I'm guessing not.

Maybe Business Tool box instead of IT in a Box...
OR Business Tool Kit.. but that has a fairly broad meaning..

hehe speaking from experience, naming such a solution is much harder than setting it up and implementing it!

keep it IT and keep it tech.

think of the customers who are looking for the solution and imagine what they would be typing in google to search for it.

small business server
server small business
first server
first email server
do i need a server for my business?
i need a server for my business?
etc
etc

giving names to tihngs for the sake of it i think is kind of a waste.

its like selling laptops but calling them portable computation electrical devices. theyre both the same thing, but why complicate it but using a name people dont understand?

maybe market it as just server

but have Server A as "My First Server" and Server B "All in One Serer in a Box"

or something like that. its late and my creativity clocked off a while ago.

but you get my drift

I like the word 'package' - it infers to me that everything is included, and I have nothing else to worry about.

Most small businesses (myself included) would have no idea what size server, mainframe, box etc. is required to make things happen, so I wouldn't even talk in terms of hardware.

Something like the SMB Networking Package or SMB server package - 1-3 users sharing printers, email calendars - all hardware and setup included

How about that?
