Affiliate Marketing Anyone?

Hey guys! How go things? Hope your businesses are all going well.

I'm thinking about doing some affiliate marketing, but I don't really have/know of any other businesses that would be interested in doing such with me. I'm a Sydney photographer running a (mostly) portrait photography business. I've also been doing quite a few events and stuff.

From reading your post, I'm wondering if you've got the terms 'affiliate marketing' and 'joint venture' (or 'joint venture partnership') muddled up?

A joint venture is when you team up with another business, which I think is what you're referring to here. Affiliate marketing is when other people promote your business for you and you pay them for doing so.

If it helps, you'll find Steve Ford's articles on affiliate marketing to be a good introduction, and this one by Deb Pilgrim gives a good overview of joint ventures.
