Hi Khalid,

The 'I say zap' button is the quickest way to report spam (this facility is displayed for members who have exceeded 50 posts). If something is zapped by three people, it will be automatically taken offline until on of the FS crew reviews it and decides to either republish it or remove it permanently.

You can use the 'Report post' button to report spam too, but it isn't quite as quick for you as it opens a form that you need to add text to (most people just type 'spam'). But you can also use that button if you want to bring a post to our attention for some other reason, as it enables you to send us a message at the same time.

We really do encourage you to zap or report any posts you're concerned about, so please free to use either option whenever necessary!

Thanks,
Jayne

Hi David,
Visit the 'Control panel' and from the left hand menu, choose 'Edit options'. One of them is 'Default Thread Subscription Mode.' Once you've chosen your preferred option from the dropdown menu, scroll to the bottom of the page to save your settings.

And, whilst we're at it, I think the subscribe to a thread button should be a lot easier to identify.
Thanks for that feedback - I'll pass it along to Peter and see if we can improve its prominence.

Have a great day,
Jayne
