Flyer distribution ideas...

Hi All,

When I set up my business I got a design/print 'package' deal that include 1000 DL flyers. I am now trying to figure out the best avenue to send them out... I have thought of a 'mail out' to business owners, but am well aware that sent as they are (not enveloped) it's likely that a fair portion will end up in the bin!

I have also thought of approaching other businesses who have clients likely to need or want the services I offer (graphic designers, accountants, business coaches etc) to see if they might like to have a quantity on hand for their clients. I am hoping to get feedback from persons in these professions as to whether that's something they would consider doing - or would I more likely be wasting my time with the approach in the first place?

I am of course open to other ideas...

There's also mail outs through business groups including WNA http://www.womensnetwork.com.au/ who also have a weekly email eNews. There are other options. This is just one example.

And on FS there is Agent Mail if you have a list to send to.

1) Perhaps there is an opportunity to arrange a seminar for small/medium biz in yr area ... Perhaps link up with other companies to co-host? You can then hand brox after event.

2). Local Chamber of Commence ?

I'm on this very theory at the moment, so I appreciate the link provided earlier.
we're doing full colour A4, and we haven't decided whether to send them out by mail, or cold-call deliver them inperson..

Jacqui, I found my IP attorney through my designers. What about building a relationship with local industrial designers and having your flyers in their offices?

Hi Wendy... yes, designers was one I was thinking about (and accountants actually)... was hoping some of the lovely soloers in these spaces might stumble across my thread and respond with a "hey, that would be great - send me 100 of your flyers"

I think I will start approaching some in my local area and see what they have to say... can't hurt can it?
