I recently launched my label and I am now looking for some good fashion agents in Aus mainly Melbourne and Sydney. The label is high end ready to wear.

I have tried too look online with not much luck.

Thank you for the link, I'll definitely look into it but I am more so looking for sales rep and agents who can represent my line to the targeted boutiques around AU.

I'll just do some more research online I guess

I used to go to this expo selling shoes and it was a huge meet up for agents etc and anyone working in Fashion industry.

Hi Shoes2u,

Its funny because I was selected as a 1 of 6 début designers in Fashion exposed in Melbourne a week ago and to tell you the truth it was a good networking event and nothing more than that.

It was very quiet and I think the people who visited weren't the right target audience for my market so unfortunately I didn't really think it was fruitful.

So now I am trying different ways to find agents. Hopefully some thing will pop up soon

I was just about to write a post about fashion agents in Australia and this was the first post in the marketing forum!

I have just released a unique bridal collection and I am now seeking stockists. I have been cold calling retailers, but it is proving very hard to gain any interest.

I wondered if it would be beneficial to think about having an agent hired? And what your thoughts are on this?

I am making trips Australia wide to visit various bridal outlets, however, it is difficult because appointments have to be made for this industry, not just door knocking.

How do I get to this point?
