Looking for e-mail addresses of editors

I'm desperately looking for e-mail addresses of editors of Australian parents/mothers/babies/lifestyle magazines (I want to send them a press release). Does anybody know where I can find/buy them? Thanks in advance for your help.

You can have a look here - seems quite expensive I think and not sure how up to date they are - http://www.handleyourownpr.com.au/lists.html or you could just search the internet for the websites of the magazines etc you are interested in and get their contact details that way. There is a book which contains all media contacts - I can't remember the name but will post it as soon as I remember - but again it is pretty expensive. Another option is to ask on Skout Trade Fair - they are a forum for people in the baby / kids related industry - someone there might have a list they are willing to share.
Also try www.mediabay.com.au - they are a free media list - that one looks quite good. Again you might have to check how up to date they are.

The Australian Writer's Marketplace is not very expensive, and is generally reasonably up-to-date, although there are never any guarantees. http://www.awmonline.com.au/Home.aspx

As Julie mentioned, the safer option is to contact the magazines via their websites and ask for the names and email addresses of the editors - at least that way you won't be offending anyone by calling them by their predecessors name!

Remembered! It is Margaret Gee's Media Guide - but it costs about $500 for a 12 month subscription. It lists everything media inc radio, tv, magazines etc etc

We started out to generate addresses by looking up the sites on the internet, but after 2 days we had about 12 usable e-mail addresses. It turned out to be cheaper to buy Margaret Gee's media Guide (although expensive), but all those days surfing on the internet aren't cheap either ...
