Default Mastermind Group

Hi Guys,

i have posted this in some of the other forums so I apologise if you have read it already, but I wanted to reach as many of you as possible.

I have for some time now recognised the immense value of a mastermind group and I would love to form one. My wife and I have a training business and we would love to join in a mastermind group with people in similiar businesses or that have expertise in marketing, sales, systems - all sorts of areas.

One person alone can not make a successful business and I believe that if some of us got together and brainstormed different aspects of business, shared ideas and resources then we could create great value for each other.

I would really like to hear from anyone that would like to create a mastermind group with me.

John

Love the idea...

But I guess my problem is to live in "remote area" ...

have you been part of a mastermind group before John?
can you explain the concept a bit better?

Hi Gabriel,

I see you live in Merimbula - so do my parents, it is a beautiful place to live.

I am not sure of how we would work the mastermind group - I live 2 hours out of Melbourne in Traralgon.

Prehaps we could organise video conferencing so that distance is not an issue?

It might be that each month we bring our knowledge on a particular subject, share and mastermind. Maybe we each have half an hour to discuss issues in our business and we all contribute to develop helpful ideas. There are lots of different ways that we could work it.

I am an educator and have been all my life but I now with my wife in our own business and I stink at cold calling and marketing - for you it might be something different - but if we get some good minds together then we could really help each other.

John

I have been part of a goals group with 4 other business owners for around 18 months now - we all get together every 2 weeks for 2 hrs and spend around half an hour each on our own businesses - we bring up any issues we may be having and then have a brainstorm session - it has worked brilliantly. One piece of advice I would give you would be to try and get together in the group people at a similar stage in their business - you want all the members to be able to contribute equally. Good luck!

What a great concept. I am definitely interested in this - I am pretty confident that I have a pretty good skill set across a range of areas, but also know I have some gaps in my knowledge - being able to kick ideas around / share expertise / etc with others would be really cool.

Happy to join in with this either in person, or remotely.

Cheers, Rhys

I am part of a Mastermind Group and distance is not a problem - we do our calls on skype once a week and we set up goals and project manage it.

Each person has a turn at speaking. My results have definately accelerated since joining the group - they are very powerful.

Cheers
Carol

It is a great idea and I've seen it work for many businesses - two heads are better than one etc. Works even better when you can get different skill sets in the group as well.

A business is essentially four things 1) people, 2) systems & processes, 3) products / services and 4) market or customer / client base. Most businesses grow through 7 distinct stages and face similar issues along the way, pooling your information and experiences will ceratinly help all involved and distance shouldn't be a barrier. Skype has already been mentioned and this works really well in conference mode.

I would love to see one set up in Sydney or the surrounding area.

Great idea.

If we get together and do a conference call using Skype as suggested then it would not matter what our location was.
