Default New promotional ideas for doggy products

Need some new ideas to promote my dog products on my website.

My products are not found in pet shops or vets. They are what you might think as farm gate products, so they are reatively new to the doggie person and not common known brands. I need to get my brand recognised that is "naturally Wagging"

I have tried quite a few promotional / advertising activities but the results have not been that great. I think I need to be a bit more inovative but I have run out of ideas.

So any help would be great.

Have you tried taking your products to dog shows? I noticed you are in Bathurst, maybe you could start there or maybe venture further afield.
I know many of the larger dog shows have trade stands as I have a friend that does animal art and regularly has a tradestand. I have horse themed products and do much the same thing at horse shows. I sell my products but also promote my website for future sales.

Hi 'Wag', I think your products are a great idea. Without knowing what you have tried already, I think the trade show idea is a good one. Also, trade tables at business functions. Sometimes they are free tables for people attending - have a look around. There are a lot of people out there who want quality, natural products for their pets.

Also, as many of the prospective buyers are women, you could try advertising on the weekly email Noticeboard at Womens Network Australia. You can view a sample one from the home page link.

Writing some editorial for various local newspapers nationally is an idea also. Try to think of a real story that is interesting or amusing because that's what the editors are looking for. It's free to submit editorial and a photo with contact details like - Contribued by Naturally Wagging, www.naturallywagging.com.au although many of them like you to have small advert as well. But regardless, it's still worth trying by sending the editorial and photo to them.

Wishing you much success.

PS there is a typo in one of your sub headings links
Preperations should be Preparations

Hi Robyn,

I have tried dog shows unfortunatly some of the more established traders that do the shows around my area and Sydney made it a bit difficult for me so I have had to think of other ways of getting my business out there
