Yes it can be very exciting when you launch a new marketing activity! You're filled with expectation and hopes. If you need any help with it, I've used Google Adwords for over five years and I'd be happy to take a look if you like.

I'd love to have you take a look. Basically I chose two keywords: "small business website" and "small business marketing" - Google suggested I narrow it down which made sense. Looking at the keywords tool, small business website is up there. Actually I ought to go and add small business web design too.

I only added 40 dollars though, and chose a 5 dollar per day average.

If you haven't already, turn off the content network. Limit your ads only to search results, or you will destroy that budget.

Ali, you offer blog coaching services. So many people have so many questions about blogging. You should really be adding 'blog coaching', 'blog coaching programme', 'blogging assistance', 'how to blog' and so on to your keywords.

Haha when it comes to money and limited budgets, all advice is good!

I've wasted a lot of money by forgetting to turn off the content network I'm sure it works for some campaigns, but it typically doesn't bring in qualified traffic.

Sure! But you offer something that's not quite so common, i.e. blog coaching. And lots of people are curious about blogging, why they should do it, how, etc etc. So don't miss out on attracting those people. If you only focus on 'small business website' and similar, your ad will be too broad-based and you'll be competing with the gazillion other companies who are offering small business advice.

You can incorporate these keywords into the same Adwords campaign, but I'd like to see the wording of your ad to know if it'd be pertinent. Can you copy/paste your ad wording here?
