Re: Donations to 'for profit' business?

I'm no expert, but would it be an option to sell products for a highly inflated price? i.e. "Buy this $5 pen for $50 and we'll allocate $45 to our hospital fund."

Re: Wearing Uniforms At Home

I think this one will depend on the individual as we're all wired so differently.

I worked from home for 5 years, and spent much of that time in my PJ's with no problems at all... Except for the...

Re: Invoice Payments

It looks like you've been given some bad advice.

Re: Manufacture and reseller issue

Something else to consider is that even if the manufacturer was not selling direct to the end users, there's every chance that they actually still would be, just using a separate company they'd set...

Re: Providing estimated hours with hourly rate - isn't it same as fixed quote?

I usually give an estimated price range. i.e. 3-5 hours @ X per hour.
That way you have a bit of wiggle room if it takes a little longer than planned, and in most cases your client will be happy,...

Re: ROI from Advertise in Newspaper?

Newspaper advertising can be pretty hit and miss, but it's unfair to straight out blame the publication for a poor campaign - there are so many more variables in play: The content of the ad, the...

Re: business name available but domain name parked and for sale!

You can do a whois search and find out when the domain is due to expire. Just Google "whois au".

Someone had the .com.au I wanted when I started my business, so I had to settle with the .net.au,...

Re: Dealing with the silent treatment from a client

Learn from the situation. Make changes. Move on.

What would be the perfect little gift to add to letters and deliveries.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Every now and then when I'm sending a package or a letter to a client, I like to throw in something nice like a bag of lollies as a nice gesture.
