I would like to hear from anyone who has already done this kind of thing to know if there is anything else I should think about or know before going ahead with this as this is my first time doing anything like this.
Any help or suggestions would be great.
Many Thanks | Hi there, other people were correct in saying that you need to know well the product you are trying to import. There are a number of restriccions not only from Customs but also from Quarantine and other Government Department you would need to be aware of.
Otherwise this new import might become an expensive exercise.
Things such as method of transport, volume of the goods, price etc would need to be considered as well in order to make you able to work out your cost and at the end your selling price to potential customers.
A consultant could be a good idea but again also make sure that you will know the cost for a company to help you out starting your business. I am sure that you've got a budget in your mind, you dont want to use all your savings before even started the business, do you.
If more help happy to give you a hand.
I am also starting a business as Customs and Int'l Trade Consultant (I am a Licensed Customs Broker)
