There are two kinds of "waste plastics" when exporting to China. One is the true waste plastics which are made from the waste products for example used softdrink bottles. China government has requirements for import, for example, the bottom of the bottles must be cut off, and crushed into at least three pieces. They also require the environment protect certificates and the export company must be registered with China government to export. The other one is the scrapped parts which are the left-overs when making products. Those do not require certificates.
My friends are importing waste plastics from New Zealand currently. Because of the limited supplies, they are looking for other sources.
