Not sure if this article can assist. Might help to search for similar articles.

Nice.

Yeah there are alot of bullies out there. Put them in their place and you'll never here from them again.

I would look to make up a very formal letter, with a lawyer or Private Investigators header to try and scare them to stop.

Stating something along the lines of that you have reason to believe there company is involved in soliciting defamation and slander against your company. You are currently thoroughly investigating these claims and all persons involved will be... yada yada.

Maybe a lawyer letter first, stating a PI has been hired to provide evidence for a defamation case currently being prepared. Then follow that up later with a letter from a PI (could say things along the lines of how highly traceable Facebook actions, IP addresses etc are and lead directly to certain associated persons.)

I don't know, maybe a bad idea, but it might be enough to show them you are serious and aren't going continue to take their sh*t.

Or just focus on making your business 10x better than theirs and blowing them out of the water by simply being better. They are obviously already feeling threatened by you which is why they are doing this.

Hi Jazzah,

I realise that your thread is a little while ago now, but just came across this article: http://www.marketingmag.com.au/blogs...al-media-9810/ - made me think of your thread and thought it may be a useful read

One word

Defamation

In the business world you can take them for everything. Their only defence is that their comments are true. If they have never used your service then they are up the creek.

doesn't work

I have been attached by people and you try to view their profile and you can't- then 2 days later you get another message from them

you have to time it right to view their profile

personally I would find out who they are and drive over to their house- but then again if I don;t shave for 2 days I look like a biky, so that would scare the cr.. out of them

if you don't look like a bikey then get legal on them, no matter where it is posted it is against the law to discredit someone else under false pretences (IE make up stuff that damnages a third party) period the biggest problem is finding out who they are.

for now I would shut down public posting which will end the problem temporarily and ask members to send an email or (make a form on your site) asking for comments and you post by hand.
