Default First sale

Hi all,

I know the forum would get repetitive if everyone made this sort of thread but I just wanted to say I made my first sale and am very happy about it.

It may sound cliche but I asked the buyer to pay with a cheque so I can frame it and hopefully look back on it when I have made many more sales.

Has anyone done anything similar? or did you celebrate your first sale in some way? or did you just treat it as you would any other sale and move on to the next one? Mine was more of a relief than anything else for all the effort that I put in to get to that point.

Hope to hear some replies.

Evan, congratulations! That is AWESOME news!

I am so excited for you!

And you know what else? We LOVE threads like that around here. Celebrating your success gives all of us something to smile about, and gives those having a rough day a bit of extra oomph to keep on keeping on.

You should be very proud of what you've created... it can only get better from here!

Hope next week is just as good, or even better!
Jayne

Congratulations, you have given me an excuse to have a drink tonight

The first sale is always the hardest , you should find they will get easier as you practice getting them. Well done.

The thrill of the first sale, the first "real success" will quite possibly remain forever

I remember my first customer I signed up (in another field) for the princely sum of $5 per week. The amount was not important, the fact I got it was what counted.

Congratulations and I truly wish you many, many more

Congratulations!

As someone else here said, it doesn't matter what the amount was. It is the feeling that someone was prepared to part with their hard earned money because they felt that your product or service was worth more to them than the money that they had to outlay to get it.

Well done, here is to many more.

Congratulations, it's such a relief when that first client becomes a reality.
I'm not very far in front of you (currently working on my fourth job) and I think it is getting a little easier. I'm not agonising quite so much about every minute detail, but learning to trust my own instincts a bit more.

Congratulations and so smart are you to ask them to pay by cheque so you can frame it, what a great idea!

Well done, and may there be many many more

Congratulations on your first sale!

I don't know if there's a better feeling ... Well, okay, there ARE, but it's a pretty amazing one!

I thought about saving my first cheque, but I really needed the money. *laugh*

I settled for making a colour photocopy of it, which I still have to this day.

SO, do something to celebrate it and retain that warm, glowing feeling and you'll be right!

Evan, I love Renee's idea (as I always do!)... how about a photocopy to frame, and then banking it and buying yourself a reward with the cash?

Either way, have fun with it!
