Default New business - Think of a modern day gold mine

Hello all,

The purpose of this post is to give a short introduction of my business in order to attract a business partner, angel investor and/or mentor.

I’m going to be “flying solo” within the next few weeks with a business idea that is perfect for the economic times we’re in now. Here are some of the key points to the business
  • The idea centers around website development and Internet marketing
  • Main revenue channel will be B2B, but there are some products and services for the B2C market
  • The business will be run from my home to start with. Once I’ve reached an established client base, I’ll look to rent office space (Recurring revenue / month + (rate of new customers * average spend)) - Overheads

My excitement for this business is in the numbers. I’ve clearly identified my target markets, and through statistical research, I’ve discovered huge potential. Think of a modern day gold mine.

As mentioned, I’d like help with this. The main person I seek is a business partner, although an angel or mentor will also help a lot. Here are some of the criteria I’m searching for
  • Between $30 - $50k for your investment
  • Experience in running a business with a complete (right side of the quadrant) entrepreneur mindset
  • Optional: live in Sydney
  • Optional: office space
  • Requirement: you need to expect nothing less than to be successful in this business

Do you have those features? Does this sound like a good investment of your time and money? If so, please message me and we’ll meet up sometime next week for a coffee. During this coffee I will walk you through my business plan and analysis.

Some details about me:
  • I would like to have the position of COO in this business
  • If working with one business partner, I’d like to start the business as a partnership. If more than one partner, we’ll look at creating a company
  • I’m 25 years old, Australian born, live in Western Sydney
  • My background is in research and development, business development and I.T Networking

I will send you my personal website address once you private message me
Cheers,
Ayden

Hi Ayden,

I would strongly recommend getting in touch with AVCAL, the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, http://www.avcal.com.au/. They have online resources, and most importantly, a structured approach to helping you get in touch with funding partners.

If you indeed have a viable business idea, a well-researched business plan, and the skills and experience to deliver on your vision; the Private Equity / Angel members would be very happy to chat with you.

Best of luck in your venture.

Greg

Have you developed this portal application ready to go as yet?

Given your skills having the model ready would be beneficial to your needs?

What Portal?
You are setting a site up for business to business? business to consumer?

Is it a company website selling their own product or you are aggregating business selling to business and business selling to consumers?

Hi,

No, I'm not setting up a website for B2B - however the target market will be predominately B2B.

The idea centers around website development and Internet marketing. If you would like to know more, and if you fit the criteria, please message me. I'll give you more information about the idea over a coffee.

Cheers
