Hi WW2010,

A simple webpage is quite easy to create. I recommend doing it yourself (look for a basic HTML tutorial) or asking a favour of a friend who has the skills.

Google will give you free web pages.

i would be inclined to diy or ask someone here for advice / a little bit of coaching.

if you already have the email domain, then webhosting isnt too much more.

you might get a kick out of doing it yourself and i know people with little to negative technical ability put up their own websites.

maybe dont google it, use youtube. youll get better results and something easier to follow

Here is google sites link;

https://sites.google.com/?pli=1

If you want your own domain hooked to it you can do it through google apps...(at least I believe so).

As for a company to do it (I would argue it would be cheaper...if the technology space wasn't such a mess of options)....don't know...

It's probably the first and only time I would suggest something like odesk or elance...

A lot of domain name registrars include a single page website as part of the registration. Have you got your domain name yet?

Alternatively, you could look at one of the free web builder sites such as www.weebly.com and redirect your domain to it. These are very easy to use... generally no more difficult than a word processor.

Most of the free builders will include some kind of branding and/or advertising but not that expensive to have them removed.

Feel free to PM me if you need any assistance.

Cheers

Download a copy of Kompozer, a free web design editor which is WYSIWYG. I did our website on it 5 years ago from scratch with no html knowledge (website now needs a complete overhaul as we've outgrown it). The coding can be messy but for what you want to do it's free and easy. Then just register your domain name and upload your page. There may also be tutorials for Kompozer on YouTube. Forget NVu if you see it as Kompozer is the latest version of NvU.

If you want it to look good and be easy to work with, it's hard to go wrong with a basic one page premium WordPress theme.

And if you're interested in making it yourself I actually offer a step-by-step eBook and personal support if you need help along the way. Plus it's specifically made for Australians... http://youmakethewebsite.com.au/buy-the-guide/

Note: I'm not on these forums to self-promote... but this seems like a fitting solution!

Hi WW2010, you could give Weebly a try. Its very easy to create a 1 page website (drag and drop). Also it is it has free and paid plans.
