Default New to Facebook

Hi everyone,

I have finally given in and signed up to Facebook for my business.

What now? lol

One question that comes to mind... where is the thread explaining on how to set up the business page?
Can I set it up right now or do I have to wait for the certain amount of likes I need?

Any help on tips and tricks on how to customize my site would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Mel

Hi Mel,

Well done for getting on Facebook. Perhaps you could start by adding the URL to your social media links of this forum profile (pretty sure that's possible via the Control Panel.)

With regards 'setting up the business page' do you mean the name of it? i.e. facebook.com/fingerfood? I think you need a certain amount of likes to secure it. Find out the whys and wherefores by Googling 'facebook vanity url' and all will be revealed.

I'm sure others with their biz on FB will contribute here too.

Best of luck!

Sam

Thanks Sam!

I worked most of it out, I think. I've done definitely enough for one day.

Will add the link as soon as I got the Username sorted for the vanity url and will need to get my likes.

Regards,
Mel

Not having a Facebook page for your business is bad business practice. Even if you personally loath Facebook, there's no doubt that it's an effective marketing tool. So I say, embrace Facebook, don't fear it, use it as a tool, update it, promote it and you'll never look back.
