Its getting impossible to manage as i do everything from cleaning the toilets to sales...
Im thinking of scraping the lot and jumping on Salesforce linked to Saasu for accounts/payrole linked to 88miles for the scheduling. So while there is a few separate systems they all talk to each other. The only thing i will need to keep is the Access database for the quality system until and document control.
Am i crazy or is there a better system out there for small businesses?
I dont see a lot with a quality system attached or a simple scheduling system and hate reinventing the wheel when someone else has done it. Happy to give more info if needed
Thanks for your time. | Hi Tim
We use saasu, and love the flexibility it has. You have to think about it as if it your "data dump". Using the free API's you can share the data into another 3rd party app that talks the same language. I am unsure of what type of scheduling you need - do you mean production scheduling?
I am in the middle of building a solution that tracks job/order status which will be accessible by sales agents and clients alike. It will generate messages to clients as the status of their order changes. We could have up to 200 jobs in the system at any one time, as well as quotes etc. The API's allow us to access live versions of invoices, contact information, (we even worked out how to grab tnt/dhl/startrack freight tracking data). Bearing this in mind, you could map out the type of scheduling you need - then find a php coder to build it for you. Call me if you need more info on how it might work.
I have been using saasu for about 3 years. I am extremely happy with it's cost/benefit ratio. We run a large inventory (in small business terms) and run payroll and use it's CRM. I don't take advantage of its activity's, but your solution might be sitting within that feature. If in doubt, call saasu in Sydney - they are great down to earth guys (Marc and Kaz)...
